The MRI platform at Campus Biotech is equipped with a 3T MRI scanner – MAGNETOM Prisma – with strong gradient capabilities, providing excellent data quality for structural, functional and MR spectroscopy. The system can be easily combined with innovative technologies and other neuroimaging modalities, such as Virtual Reality, TMS, TES and EEG.

Concurrent TMS + MRI

The system is equipped with concurrent TMS-MRI capabilities, using:

  • MagVenture MagPro XP Transcranial Magnetic Stimulator
  • MR-compatible MagVenture MR-B91 TMS coil
  • 2x 7 array MRI surface coils compatible with TMS
  • Interleaved MRI acquisition and TMS
Simultaneous VR + MRI

The system is uniquely equipped with motion capture and virtual reality capabilities using:

  • MR compatible VR goggles (Nordic Neuro Lab)
  • 10 Qualisys cameras for motion capture
  • Strong immersion with real-time synchrony of body movement (arms/hands) with a virtual avatar
  • A large variety of VR scenarios
EEG + MRI

The system is equipped with EEG-MRI capabilities, including:

  • 64 channel BrainAmp MR+
  • 256 channel EGI geodesic 400 MR
TES + MRI

The 3T MRI system is equipped with Transcranial Electrical Stimualtion capabilities, including:

  • MR-compatible Neuroconn DC Stimulator Plus
  • Dedicated MRI filters for noise reduction

  • Direct / Alternating / Noise Current Stimulation
  • Temporal Interference Stimulation
Support

The FCBG MRI Platform team members will support researchers, optimize protocols and ensure smooth operations during acquisitions.

For development purposes, two Siemens Healthineers scientists are present on-site to support the development of new sequences and tools for MRI.

Collaborative projects can also be carried out with the Center for Biomedical Imaging (CIBM).
